This is it. I have toughen it up. I have decided to make a post, dedicated to an anime named as K because it has successfully made my anime vibe came back to me around September. All around, K is not a really bad anime, since the graphic is surprisingly awesome even though my first impression for the cover is very low-rated. Oh come on, do you think my opinion is too far-fetched? Okay, I guess I am.
Come on, let's look around.
What is K?
K is an anime collaboration between GoHands and Gora Project, which will be directed by Shingo Suzuki, a well-experienced director for having a career revolved around Key Animation Director. The producer for this anime is Nakanishi Go, the Fafner producer and also Starchild Producer is in charge for the BGMs. You wanna prove why this anime could be a knock-out for the Fall 2012 Troupe? Check the graphics out. So far, this is the best anime with one of the best graphic that I have ever known. The frames are smooth, and every scenes were detailed. I have seen half (or three-half of this anime) episode in AFA Indonesia Broadcast at Sunday. I don't want to joke around, the graphic is really good. Even though smoother frames could be found in Kyoto Animation productions. But for this anime, the graphic--I must say, it's a 4.8 out of 5.0.
What is K actually about?
K so far told us very few information, from the previews and the official news in the official site. But however, I could manage to pin-out this anime to be resolved around a character named as Isana Yahiro (CV: Daisuke Namikawa), an albino that seemed to be a carefree guy who seemed to be hanging around with his umbrella, and a small white cat on his shoulder. This guy is currently involved with Kings. And the Kings are from some organizations are looking out for him with reasons that he doesn't know. The two leaders of the organizations that are looking for him are named as Mikoto Suoh (CV: Kenjirou Tsuda) and Reishi Munakata (CV: Tomokazu Sugita). They led the organizations or we could simply said that they were gangs called as Homura/Homra (But you could kindly call this as Red side) and the Blue organization (sad that I don't know anything about this yet), respectively. And Yahiro was seen with two other main characters named as Neko (CV: Mikako Komatsu), and Kuroh Yatogami (CV: Daisuke Ono). Look at the previews below to see the characters battling like madmen. (Or not). Below are the characters that had appeared in the previews: (For now, images are from MyAnimeList)
Homura
Blue Side
The anime had received a lot of good comments so far. Although, I am not sure about it myself, since I have only checked some forum and thought that a lot of people are looking forward for this anime. This made me sure that the fandom for this anime could be widen out, and HOPEFULLY, there would be not an overrated fandom that the people are looking for, but a good fandom which provides objective reviews and good fangirling materials.
Hopefully this anime wouldn't turn out to be similarly looking to No.6 which really reminded me to a pairing/shipping name as White & Black. A lot of fujoshi were saying that Yahiro & Kuroh could be a comeback for the White & Black pairing at No.6. Oh, I have also recently found out that it was for the pairing of similar pair in D-Gray-Man.
Oh God, this is why pairings, shippings and hetero/slash shippings are complicated as hell. Because I am writing as a person with subjective wishes, I hopefully wish that K doesn't turn in as a yaoi/shounen-ai anime that makes most fujoshi fandom enjoy only the yaoi shit and pairings, not the graphic and action scenes. Come on, the potential of hetero pairings are a lot too here. Don't forget that this anime could be a reverse harem too. Though, I pessimistic that romance would be spotted more in this anime.
Personally, I support Mikoto & Anna interaction since in both in the manga and the anime (look at the previews once again), they had a surprisingly good chemistry and connection to be shipped with.
Come on, fujoshi had their expectations for shipping materials, so why not straight fans do too?
I am just looking forward that the good anime with good previews like K wouldn't end up disappointing like Guilty Crown and the other examples.
